Prices

Following on from your initial enquiry/consultation the price quoted for the celebration cake is valid for 2 weeks, after a save the day payment is receIves.

The price is guaranteed for two weeks, unless except exceptional circumstances beyond our control arises.

Save the day payments

A non refundable payment of 25% of the total price is required to secure your order and the chosen day for delivery or collection.

For orders under £60 the full payment is required.

For short notice cakes That is with less than 2 weeks before the cake is required, then full payment is required. Unless otherwise agreed by Jill’s Treats.

Payment can be mad via bank transfer or by card.

Final payment is to be made 2 days before collection or delivery

If full payment is not received prior to collection or delivery then Jill’s Treats reserves the right to not handover the cake until it has been received.

Cancellation or Postponement

If the cake is cancelled up one week before the required date then Jills Treats retains the right to keep the 25% already paid to cover the costs already incurred such as design & consultation.

If you need to postpone the order to a later date then Jill’s Treats will endeavour to transfer your order to the desired date, as long as it is suitable for the business.

Otherwise it will be treated as a cancellation.

Jills Treats reserves the right to cancel an order in exceptional circumstances beyond our control, such as ill health or fire. In those circumstances any monies paid will be refunded in full.

Allergies & dietary requirements

Please discuss, with us any dietary requirements, such as gluten free, dairy free, plant based diets, nut allergies.

it is very important that Jill’s Treats is aware of these so those ingredients are not present in the cake or cakes.

Please be aware that we cannot guarantee that any of our cakes are completely free of all traces for people who are highly sensitive.

Non- edible items

Some cakes may contain non edible items such as dowel, additional cake decorations, flowers ( both real and artificial).

Please ensure that these are removed before consuming the cake.

Delivery charges

These will apply when the distance to deliver is greater than 5 miles or 30 mins.

This will be a charged in addition to the cost of the cake.

Delivery and/or collection conditions.

If you are collecting the cake, Jill’s Treats will not be liable for any damage to the cake or cakes once it has left our premise.

Cake care that includes how to transport it the cake is attached to each cake box and gone through verbally with the customer.

If the cake is delivered then it is our intention that it will be delivered in perfect condition. Cake care instructions will be attached to each cake box. However there may be circumstances beyond our control, such as traffic delays.

Once the cake is handed over then it becomes the responsibly of the customer. Jill’s Treats cannot be held liable for any damage that occurs to the cake once we have left the premises.

Storage & consumption

Please be aware cakes are delicate and need to be handled with care.

Please read & follow the cake care instructions.

As well as cake care instruction, allergy labels are also attached as well as best before date.

If necessary, cover the cake in cling film and box in an air tight container. It can be frozen then for a maximum of 3 months, however once defrosted it should not be re-frozen.

The cake can be cut into separate portions and frozen individually for convenience.

Complaints

If you have concerns about your cake, please inform us as soon as possible after delivery or collection.

Failing that please contact us in writing and include pictures of the cake highlighting the damage or area of concern.

A refund is only given if the uneaten cake is returned and are unsuitable for consumption.

No refunds are given for change of mind.
